The move opens the Binance ecosystem up to the nearly 70 million users actively linked with the payment services.
Users of Binance can now make payments with Google Pay and Apple Pay. The new payment integrations diversify the payment opportunities for Binance users and increase the accessibility of the application.
Users can now exchange money from their Google or Apple pay accounts for cryptocurrencies on their iOS or Android devices in the same way they could shop in a store.
Both applications are among the most used digital payment apps in the world. Google Pay has 25 million, and Apple Pay has over 43 million users.
Binance links more popular payment methods to the centralized finance world with the move. The integration of the two popular digital payment services is a major step for mass adoption due to the potential user impact.
Binance.US only supports Apple Pay of the two payment services at this time. Users of the US franchise arm of Binance cannot use Google Pay.
Binance positions itself as the worldโs leading blockchain ecosystem and crypto-asset infrastructure provider with a financial product suite that includes the largest digital asset exchange by volume. The Binance platform aims to increase the freedom of money for users and features a comprehensive portfolio of crypto-asset products and offerings, including trading and finance, education, data and research, social good, investment and incubation, decentralization, and infrastructure solutions.
